How to prepare Outlook calendar items
Here you will find DST information and updates for commonly used applications and electronic devices. If a device or application that you use or administer is not included, be sure to consult the vendor's Web site or support staff to determine whether upgrades or patches are necessary. Additionally, if you discover synchronization issues with, or know of solutions for departmental systems and software not included here, please send that information to ietweb@ucdavis.edu so it can be included for the campus community.

Older Devices |
According to RIM, DST patches for BlackBerry handhelds running versions older than 3.6 will not be released. They suggest contacting the CARRIER for a suggested upgrade path. To locate version information on your device, click 'About' in the device options menu. | ||
| Windows Mobile Devices | After the Exchange DST patch tool has been installed (see above), users can patch their handheld devices by using the MS Internet Explorer mobile browser. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/default.mspx and download the Daylight Saving Time 2007 Update for Windows Mobile. This file will install the update directly on the device. | Campus-Obtained Cellular Telephones | Cingular |
Cingular Wireless has adjusted its internal settings to update its network time. Mobile devices that are setup to auto update based on network time will take effect on that date although some may need to be rebooted. Mobile devices not setup for auto update will not reflect the time change. Data Devices that automatically adjust their clock/calendar will not be able to make the change correctly. |
