Why this event: Peter M. Siegel, UC Davis Vice Provost and CIO is sponsoring this event to help facilitate discussions happening on each University of California campus regarding communication mechanisms (e.g., email, Voice over Internet Protocol, text messaging, instant messaging and others), particularly as they relate to campus emergency notification systems.
Goal: Provide a forum for the university community involved in emergency planning and management to share ideas, plans, challenges and accomplishments related to developing, implementing and managing campus emergency notification systems.
Who should attend: University of California administrators, directors, leadership, emergency managers and technical staff responsible for emergency planning and management are encouraged to participate.
